Sonic Labs Announces $250,000 Sonic DeFAI Hackathon in Partnership with DoraHacks and Zerebro

Sonic Labs, the team behind the highest-performing EVM L1 blockchain Sonic, has announced the launch of the Sonic DeFAI Hackathon. This event is organized in partnership with DoraHacks, a global hackathon organizer, and Zerebro, an autonomous AI agent. The hackathon offers $250,000 in prizes and invites participants to compete over four weeks to create novel AI agents that perform both social and on-chain actions. The goal is to accelerate the development of DeFAI (decentralized finance and AI) on the Sonic blockchain. Submissions for the hackathon open on January 21, 2025, and close on February 24, 2025, with winners announced in early March. DeFAI combines AI and blockchain technology, enabling AI agents on a blockchain to handle complex tasks through simple commands, such as bridging assets, swapping tokens, and more.
